So you're thinking about buying a HealthyLine mat?
Read this short guide before you buy.
HealthyLine has been around since 2013, has a store in Manhattan and offers six mat sizes. That sounds reassuring. But with that many models and prices, it's hard to tell which one is worth the money, and whether it fits the way you want to use it.
My name is Jan, and I'm the founder of Elvari. We make a similar mat. This is an honest take on what the HealthyLine mat does really well, and what our mat does differently, if you're looking for an alternative.
What HealthyLine gets right
A lot. HealthyLine has been around since 2013, offers six mat sizes plus chairs and pillows, and lets you walk into a store in New York and lie on one. The 90-day trial is long, the 5-year warranty is long, and a lifetime trade-in program gives you credit toward a new mat later. If you buy a HealthyLine mat, you are dealing with an established company.
If you're dealing with any of these, a therapy mat like the ones HealthyLine offers could be a really good solution for you:
- Trouble falling asleep or staying asleep
- Stress that follows you into the evening
- Chronic pain, a stiff back or achy joints
- Sore, tense muscles after training or a long day
- Cold hands and feet, and a body that craves deep warmth
What to look for in a good therapy mat
- The offer. Compare price, guarantee and warranty, and check what is actually in the box.
- How the therapies are made. Frequency range, number of coils and number of LEDs decide what you really get from PEMF, heat and light.
- How the mat is built. Size, weight, surface and how easily it folds away after use.
- The current under your body. Most mats run 110 volts of alternating current through the heating layer, so you lie in an alternating electric and magnetic field for an hour at a time. Check what powers the mat before you buy.
One thing up front, because it matters for the price: HealthyLine's most popular full-body mat is the 72 × 24 in Jet at $1,149, which is $46 less than ours. The fair head-to-head for our 74.8 × 31.5 in mat is their full-size 74 × 28 in Jet at $1,649, and that's the model in the tables below.

From the third year of the warranty you pay a share of the retail price. Our 30 days are shorter, but the return label is on us and the refund is the full price.

HealthyLine puts more red LEDs into the mat. Where we go further is range and coverage: frequencies up to 999 Hz instead of 30, near-infrared light at 850 nm, which the Jet doesn't list at all, and 29 coils whose positions we show you.

Our mat is 3.5 inches wider, which you notice at the shoulders. HealthyLine's is four pounds lighter. And while HealthyLine adds EMF-blocking layers on top of a 110 V system, we took the alternating current out of the mat in the first place.
Direct current: the difference you can't see
Almost every PEMF and infrared mat runs mains power straight into the heating layer. You lie on 110 volts of alternating current, switching direction 60 times a second, for an hour at a time.
When we developed the current generation in Germany, we moved the transformer off the mat. A compact adapter stays at the wall outlet, and everything under your body runs on 36 volts of direct current. There is no alternating field and no mains hum in the heating wire. The only field on the mat is the pulse you switch on.
It is also why the controller can tune frequencies to a tenth of a hertz. A DC controller is a precision instrument, not a dimmer switch.

Common questions and answers
Is HealthyLine a good brand?
Yes. HealthyLine has been selling mats since 2013, offers long trial and warranty periods, and has a physical store. The differences to the Elvari mat are technical: frequency range, near-infrared light, coil count and direct current.
HealthyLine offers 90 days. Why does Elvari only offer 30?
Because ours comes without conditions: we send a prepaid return label and refund the full price. HealthyLine's 90 days are longer, but the buyer pays return shipping, the original shipping isn't refunded and a restocking fee of 10–30 % can apply, according to HealthyLine's own return policy.
Which mat has more red light?
HealthyLine, by LED count: 144 red LEDs at 630 nm against our 60 at 660 nm. The Elvari mat adds 29 near-infrared LEDs at 850 nm, a second wavelength the Jet doesn't list.
Is the cheaper HealthyLine mat the better deal?
Their 72 × 24 in Jet costs $1,149, which is $46 less than ours, for a mat that is 7.5 inches narrower and 2.8 inches shorter. The full-size Jet that matches our dimensions costs $1,649.
